Frequently Asked Questions

One of my strongest impressions of Kindermusik’s work is the variety of musical selections that are there for children. The selections are of high quality and of considerable diversity, such that children can listen and respond to the music of Bach, Mozart, contemporary composers and cultural traditions around the globe. Kindermusik understands that children deserve opportunities to know a palette of musical colors, and thus through the program provide windows to the world of people and their artistic expressions. This rainbow of musical colors is the stuff that surrounds children through their Kindermusik training, so that their listening, movement, singing and playing possibilities are grounded in history and across cultures. These musical beginnings set children straight for a lifetime of well-considered choices in their musical and cultural valuing.

Why should I choose Kindermusik?

KINDERMUSIK: FOR A CHILD'S BRAIN, BODY, HEART, AND SOUL

Music is powerful. It can excite, energize, calm, and comfort. It can thrill you with its beauty or reduce you to tears. It can lift your mood after a bad day; invoke a memory from long ago; and get you tapping, swaying, and dancing when you least expect it. But music’s ability to conjure emotions is only part of why it’s so incredible. Music is a wonderful conduit for learning, especially in young children. When paired with movement and instrument play, it creates neurological magic, lighting up a child’s brain and positively impacting all areas of development. The benefits of music education are truly transformational.

In Kindermusik’s music-and-movement classes, children experience music of varying styles, genres, and cultures. They interact with other children and engage in movement, rhythm, and vocal activities that develop far more than just music skills. Our approach to early childhood education and award-winning, research-based, and developmentally appropriate curricula prime children for success in school and in life.
