Frequently Asked Questions

One of my strongest impressions of Kindermusik’s work is the variety of musical selections that are there for children. The selections are of high quality and of considerable diversity, such that children can listen and respond to the music of Bach, Mozart, contemporary composers and cultural traditions around the globe. Kindermusik understands that children deserve opportunities to know a palette of musical colors, and thus through the program provide windows to the world of people and their artistic expressions. This rainbow of musical colors is the stuff that surrounds children through their Kindermusik training, so that their listening, movement, singing and playing possibilities are grounded in history and across cultures. These musical beginnings set children straight for a lifetime of well-considered choices in their musical and cultural valuing.

Why should I choose Kindermusik?

Music is powerful. It can excite, energize, calm, and comfort. It can thrill you with its beauty or reduce you to tears. It can lift your mood after a bad day; invoke a memory from long ago; and get you tapping, swaying, and dancing when you least expect it. But music’s ability to conjure emotions is only part of why it’s so incredible. Music is a wonderful conduit for learning, especially in young children. When paired with movement and instrument play, it creates neurological magic, lighting up a child’s brain and positively impacting all areas of development. The benefits of music education are truly transformational.

In Kindermusik’s music-and-movement classes, children experience music of varying styles, genres, and cultures. They interact with other children and engage in movement, rhythm, and vocal activities that develop far more than just music skills. Our approach to early childhood education and award-winning, research-based, and developmentally appropriate curricula prime children for success in school and in life.

I love watching my baby boy evolve in the class week after week and get something new and different from the exercises each time. The tips and info from Beth makes the class very interesting for parents too.

Can I bring siblings along to class?

We're all about families at Pathways to Learning.

We are committed to the safety of everyone. attending our classes. As a result of our commitment to safety it is preferred that older siblings (5 and younger) do not attend baby and young toddler classes. We understand that once in a while you may need to bring an older sibling who does not have school that day. Please email us and let us know that you plan to bring your older child to play in this unique circumstance.  Use your best judgment, remember you always have the option to reschedule your younger child's class that week.  In toddler classes younger siblings (6 months and younger) may attend with sibling free of charge. Once the baby is mobile, you will pay 55% tuition for baby to attend with older sibling.  As always siblings of all ages are welcome during Sharing Time for Laugh & Learn, Move and Groove and Young Child.
