Upgrade your parenting to the 21st Century

Discipline Connections Mindful Parenting Series Workshop

We update our technology, our cars, and our health practices, and yet we are relying on discipline practices that haven't been upgraded for decades.

With this adult-first model, caregivers can learn how to manage themselves so that they can help the children they love. Based on the Conscious Discipline framework we can define discipline as something we develop within children rather than something we do to them.  With that definition we parents can shift from what children are doing wrong (or not doing right) to getting curious about what skill they need to learn and putting our energy into teaching that skill.

Are you interested in supporting your child's growing mind and helping them develop inhibitory control and emotional regulation so that they can be responsive problem solvers as they grow? This class series is designed for parents who are facing the overwhelming challenges of raising children today. The class will bring a shift to the adult mindset that will help adults manage our responses to conflict and behavior allowing us to transform everyday discipline encounters into teaching moments. We will address adult mindfulness first and how to support children second, empowering adults to become the mindful caregivers they want to be. Armed with critical brain development information, attendees will be encouraged to critically challenge our thoughts about discipline/behavior and help us to remain in charge of ourselves and enable us to discipline with integrity. What we learn together in the classes will help to:

  • Enhance Social-Emotional well being of the whole family

  • Improve Cooperation

  • Reduce Power Struggles

  • Resolve Conflicts

  • Fortify Relationships (between parents, parents and children, and siblings for those with multiple children)

Cost:  $250 per family (you may attend together with a parenting partner or individually)- Includes 8 -live, in-person, interactive 2-hour workshops, a handout packet, and weekly follow-up emails. Currently enrolled Pathways to Learning Families save $50
